Sherise Zammit graduated as a primary school teacher. She was practically born with a pen in her hand and from a young age could be found scribbling a short story, or a poem or a song. Save Samyo City was her first published book was which went on to win the Terramaxka award in 2015. She also wrote the Big Books, a series of teachers’ resources . Sherise is a mother – which motivates her to keep on writing stories to increase the number of books in the Maltese language.
