Amanda Zahra

Amanda Zahra, better known as Mandy as she had been called most of her life, is a Policy Officer on Education with the Energy and Water Agency within Malta’s Ministry for Energy, Environment and Enterprise. She is one of the educators at the Għajn: National Water Conservation Awareness Centre in Rabat. Amanda has authored 4 children’s books in Maltese that complement the educational programmes at the Għajn Centre and another book in English that supports the Chadwick Lakes project. Amanda loves yoga, travelling and her biggest passion is animals. She is a volunteer and committee member at one of the largest cat sanctuaries on the island. Everyday, after work she either goes to help with the cats at the sanctuary or else is found walking her fur baby, Shadow — a rescue Pitbull who is also the muse behind her latest ongoing project.
